Contrary to the belief of some, it’s not about just telling someone else what to do and taking what you want. It’s about being ultimately responsible for someone else’s happiness as well as your own. It’s about safeguarding their well-being, and yours. It’s about knowing them better than they even know themselves. It’s about listening to the other person and using their thoughts and feelings to inform (not dictate, inform) your decisions.
